The USPTO has launched a computer based training program to assist novice and independent inventors.   The first video training session, entitled “From Concept to Protection” is available on the USPTO website and provides useful information on a range of topics including:  inventor’s notebooks, provisional applications for patents, non-provisional patent applications, design patent applications, and the Patent Cooperation Treaty.  The USPTO plans to offer additional on-line sessions in the future.
