For more than 50 years, sponsors of the National Inventors Hall of Fame® have made it possible to honor Our Nation’s Greatest Innovators® and to share their inspiring lessons and legacies with the next generation.
By supporting the annual Induction Ceremony – the Greatest Celebration of American Innovation® – sponsors play a vital role in the Hall of Fame mission, celebrating America’s past and present while building a more innovative future.
What Are the Hall of Fame’s Induction Events?
Each year, the National Inventors Hall of Fame welcomes a new class of world-changing Inductees with unique and inspiring events.
The celebration begins with the Illumination Ceremony, held at the National Inventors Hall of Fame Museum in Alexandria, Virginia. The newest Inductees and their families gather in the museum’s Gallery of Icons®, a one-of-a-kind exhibit made up of icons representing each of our more than 600 Inductees, and they add their nameplate to their own personalized icon in the display.
Next, the new class is joined by past Inductees, sponsors and intellectual property leaders at the Induction Ceremony in Washington, D.C. This elegant, black-tie affair is held in partnership with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the Hall of Fame’s founding partner. As each Inductee is presented with a medallion, they are officially welcomed into the Hall of Fame.
The Induction Ceremony is just the beginning of these inventors’ involvement in the National Inventors Hall of Fame mission. Many of them become deeply involved in everything the Hall of Fame does, from influencing the Hall of Fame’s education program curricula and making personal visits with children participating in Camp Invention® to mentoring Finalists in the annual Collegiate Inventors Competition®.
How Do Sponsors Contribute to Induction?
As a nonprofit, the National Inventors Hall of Fame relies on sponsors and donors to make its meaningful events possible.
In turn, Induction Ceremony sponsorships provide supporters with opportunities to achieve brand recognition before, during and after the Induction events. Sponsorships are customizable and can include a variety of benefits, from logo recognition on the Hall of Fame’s website and within the museum to the on-stage introduction of an Inductee.
As the year’s most prestigious event for leaders in innovation and intellectual property, the National Inventors Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony also offers extraordinary opportunities for sponsors to attend and celebrate alongside legendary inventors. From the newest class of creative visionaries to iconic inventors inducted in years past, many of the world’s most impactful creators and innovators attend the Induction Ceremony every year.
At every sponsorship level, supporters’ contributions not only help create unforgettable events but also make a lasting impact, helping to secure the future of the Hall of Fame’s mission. Thanks to each sponsor, Inductees’ legacies will continue to be celebrated, both within the National Inventors Hall of Fame Museum and through hands-on invention education programs held in communities across the country.
