Camp Invention Connect Fits Your Schedule

Behind the NIHF Scenes Program Highlights

There is no getting around it: this summer has been unlike any we have ever experienced. From canceled concerts to postponed family vacations, all of us have had to accept temporary inconveniences to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Explaining this reality to children can prove challenging. How does one provide answers for a situation that is always changing? In the face of this uncertainty, how can we make sure children have fun-filled experiences that keep them engaged and excited?

Camp Your Way

To help answer these questions, the expert education team at the National Inventors Hall of Fame® (NIHF) developed Camp Invention Connect, our brand new, at-home K-6 summer camp. Led by live, certified educators around the country and packed full of daily activities that stretch imaginations and inspire big ideas, this program reinvents traditional summer camp to ensure that children still have the opportunity to embrace their creativity and have fun with other campers!

We understand each family’s situation is different, so we’ve designed Camp Invention Connect to be flexible. It can be enjoyed in collaboration with our certified education Coaches and fellow campers through live virtual sessions, or it can be experienced entirely screen free.

Having control over their creative process is an empowering feeling, and for children who may return to a learning environment in the fall unlike anything they have experienced before, this confidence building is essential.

“It gave him more confidence, let him try new things and learn new things, helped him learn how to use technology in different ways to help him interact with people, gave him more of a love of STEM activities and helped him be more creative.”  Jennifer B., Camp Parent, Evans, Colorado

“Her level of enthusiasm increased, knowing she was creating something cool and new. Her confidence in her ability to be creative, design, speak up and finish a product also increased with this program.” Paula W., Camp Parent, Lilburn, Georgia

Registration Is Now Open for August

Because of the incredible response from more than 35,000 children who have participated in this program, we are now offering Camp Invention Connect opportunities each week through the month of August.

These new dates ensure that families interested in providing an immersive STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) experience for their children can do so in a way that works around their schedule.
