Since 2014, Arrow Electronics has been a proud sponsor of the Collegiate Inventors Competition® (CIC) from the National Inventors Hall of Fame®(NIHF). For this year’s competition, we are excited to announce that Arrow Electronics is our 2019 People’s Choice Award sponsor! Voting opens Monday, Oct. 28 at 9 a.m. EDT and closes Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 4 p.m. EDT.
As a Fortune 109 company, Arrow Electronics is the ultimate technology enabler, developing solutions for over 200,000 leading technology manufacturers and service providers around the world. The company believes that technology makes life better, and its corporate social responsibility program allows the company to establish partnerships around shared values and pursuing innovation. Working together with its partners, Arrow seeks to make the world a better place, both now and Five Years Out.
Because CIC attracts some of the most creative and innovative collegiate minds from across the country, Arrow Electronics’ partnership with the competition is one that aligns perfectly with the company’s values. “The competitors at CIC are among the smartest innovators on U.S. campuses,” said Joe Verrengia, global director, Corporate Social Responsibility, at Arrow Electronics. “Arrow believes in the power of innovation to make life better and wants to collaborate with these teams as they launch technology solutions for some of humankind’s biggest challenges.”
NIHF’s ongoing partnership with Arrow Electronics is part of the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility. In 2018, the company expanded its reach and worked with organizations that supported nearly 14.7 million people on six continents, a 77% increase from 2017. Additionally, Arrow Electronics’ employees participated in 747 events supporting 65 charities, totaling nearly 6,000 volunteer hours.
